Birthdays are special occasions. They
are cause to celebrate with family and
friends if you are one year old or 101
years old. Smiles Unlimited help
celebrate Birthday parties in and around
Albany New York.
The staff at Smiles Unlimited loves
birthday parties. Be it
Fuddi-Duddy The
Clown or the
Fantastical Mr. Fuddi, they
have a lot of fun with birthday parties
and help everyone present to have a
great time.
Our birthday parties start with a traditional
comic clown introduction. We like to
meet the children. This is the ideal
time for our performers to get the lay
of the land and establish the
performance ground rules, so to speak,
while the kids enjoy mingling with the
clown and establishing the fact that
they are very important to the day's
events.
After meeting all of the youngsters we
present a comic clown magic show that
features the birthday person as the very
special assistant. Classic comedy magic
routines with a humorous twist targeted
directly to the youngsters are used to
assure everyone is entertained. As the
program proceeds, the entire audience
gets involved and there is lots of
participation for everyone.
A magic cup cake appears in the hands of
the birthday person, followed the
production for some very special gifts
(all coordinated with Mom and Dad during
the booking).
The grand finale of the magic show is a
full audience participation routine
called the "Flower Maker". While we
sometimes use real flower seeds, we
rarely get flowers. But, we do have the
opportunity to make sure that everyone
present participates and this routine is
always great for photos.
At the conclusion of the magic show,
which generally goes 30-35 minutes
depending on the interaction of the kids
with the clown, we go into the next
portion of the presentation which is
balloon twisting. Special balloons are
created that include animals, hats,
flowers and jewelry. This process allows
the birthday clown to interact with each child
individually and to continue the fun and
the entertainment. Often times, special
bouquets are prepared and presented to
the party's hostess.
Once every youngster has a balloon, we
will gather with all the children where
Mom is serving the birthday cake. We
lead all the kids in a boisterous round
of Happy Birthday and allow everyone who
wants to take photos or video.
As the youngsters are enjoying their
goodies, we pack up, say good-bye, wish
the birthday person one more Happy
Birthday and then we depart.
"Fuddi-Duddy, you made
our birthday party for
Maestro David Alan Miller
a very colorful and special event. Thanks for
participating with the
Albany Symphony Orchestra..."
